The latest addition to Bandai's "Plannosaurus" model-kit series is the Therizinosaurus, a large theropod from the late Cretaceous period. This series encourages you to learn about dinosaurs by building them yourself from the skeleton up! Start with the "skeletal build," where you assemble the dinosaur's skeleton piece by piece. After that, the "dinosaur build" lets you attach the outer skin parts to the skeleton. No nippers or glue are required, making assembly easy!

The Therizinosaurus's outer skin is designed to depict feathers covering its entire body, including flight feathers on its arms and well-developed tail feathers, believed to be used for courtship and intimidation. Unlike other theropods, the heavyset Therizinosaurus also had its thumb tips touching the ground. Its powerful hind legs are sculpted based on academic research. The strong, leaf-shaped teeth with jagged edges and the sturdy beak at the front of its mouth are accurately rendered according to academic theory. The three long, slender, and gently curved claws (distal phalanges), which closely resemble those of a sloth, are also faithfully reproduced.
