This highly anticipated release features incredibly accurate detailing and proportions that match its 1979-80 Mobile Suit Gundam TV counterpart. The snap fit plastic parts are moulded in colour, eliminating the need for painting. The kit features a new inner frame that can achieve more dynamic and realistic poses than ever before, thanks to its ingeniously designed and intricately detailed inner frame. The Core Fighter can transform and dock inside Gundam to become its cockpit, just like in the show, without restricting Gundam's movements.

Gundam's armaments include a beam rifle with removable super napalm attachment, two beam sabers, a shield, a hyper bazooka, a Gundam Hammer, and a beam javelin. Marking stickers, foil stickers, and dry transfer stickers are included, along with three unpainted 1/100 figures of Amuro Ray - two standing (casual wear and pilot suit) and one sitting. This is a landmark release in Bandai's MG kit history that should not be missed.
