The MIM-23 HAWK system entered service in the late 1950s and became one of the most widely used surface to air missile systems during the Cold War. The M192 launcher was a key component, designed to deploy and fire missiles in defence of strategic locations. The system saw use with numerous armed forces and remained in service for decades with ongoing upgrades. Its role in providing mobile and adaptable air defence made it an important part of military operations during the period. This model reflects that capability, offering a detailed representation of a launcher used in one of the most recognisable missile systems of its time.

This 1/35 scale kit from Foreart represents the M192 launcher used with the MIM-23 HAWK surface to air missile system. Developed during the Cold War, the HAWK system was designed to provide medium range air defence against aircraft threats. As part of the 1/35 vehicle range, this kit offers a detailed subject suited to modern military modelling and diorama work.

The model captures the distinctive structure of the M192 launcher, including its triple missile mounting arrangement and support frame. The design reflects the operational configuration used in field deployments, where the launcher formed part of a wider air defence network supported by radar and control units. The scale allows for careful detailing of the launcher components, making it suitable for realistic painting and finishing.

This kit provides an opportunity to represent a key element of ground based air defence systems. It can be displayed as a standalone model or combined with other vehicles and equipment to create a more complete scene. Its structure and layout offer a contrast to more conventional armoured vehicles, adding variety to a collection.
