Classic cars do not age, they just become legends over time. The Mitsubishi Galant GTO is one of them, its discreet body design has features of American ‘muscle cars’ of the late 1960s, and this is easy to explain. The fact is that the creator of the appearance of the entire series of early GTOs, Kamisago Hiroaki, studied at the prestigious Art Centre College of Design, which is located in Pasadena, California. At the very beginning of the appearance of this model, which, by the way, is based on the Colt Galant A50, one of the priority tasks was to homologate the GTO for participation in the JCCA Grand Prix circuit races, but the economic crisis that soon broke out put a big cross on this idea. Be that as it may, the car often went to the start of various rallies, including the famous Japanese Alpine Rally. In terms of design, this is a traditional two door ‘hardtop’ without a central pillar, and all the side windows are made to drop down. The drive, of course, is rear (solid axle on springs).

In the version of the GTO 2000 GS-R (A57C) proposed for construction, the car had a 2 litre single shaft 4G52 engine with a capacity of 125 hp, and the fuel air mixture was prepared by two single chamber carburetors, a 5 speed manual gearbox was installed. Unlike the cars of the first years of production, there is a small ‘facelift’ here - the shape of the radiator grille, taillights, and interior ventilation grilles has been changed. In this form, the Galant GTO was produced up to and including 1975.

The kit comes with realistic rubber tyres, transparent parts for windows and lights shields, and some sliver chrome plated light bucket and other parts, and a waterslide decal sheet for interior and detail.
