The Allied landing, the largest naval operation of all time, which brought together more than 5,000 ships of all types, could not have taken place without the Landing Craft Vehicle and Personnel, small, roughly cut boats whose lines betrayed the purpose for which they were designed- to beach themselves in order to quickly unload the stormtroopers.
