Air France's Airbus A380 fleet was equipped with GP7200 engines, manufactured by Engine Alliance, which produced 311 kN of thrust. With this engine, the A380, despite its impressive weight, reached a speed of 900 km/h. The various aircraft components were manufactured at thirteen production facilities across Europe (including one in Indonesia and another in India). The components were then transported to the Toulouse-Blagnac plant for final assembly. The first two aircraft entered service at the end of 2009. The aircraft with the registration F-HPJA was the first to receive the new Air France livery, which would eventually adorn the entire fleet. Airbus Industries received a firm order for 24 A380 Air France aircraft.
