The passenger car Moskvitch-400 was produced in the Moscow Plant of Small Cars (ZMA) from December 1946. It was an exact copy of the pre war 4 door Opel Kadett K38 variant.

Moskvitch cars were produced in different types. Moskvitch-401-420A cars with 4 door cabriolet - sedan open bodies were less numerous. There were total of 17742 cabriolets  produced 1949 till 1954.
