The Toyota AE86 Sprinter Trueno became a global sensation as the hero car of Initial D, the legendary street racing manga and anime created by Shuichi Shigeno. Serialised from 1995 to 2013, Initial D tells the story of Takumi Fujiwara, a high school student who works as a delivery boy for his father's Tofu Shop. Unbeknownst to him, years of early morning tofu deliveries through the treacherous Mount Akina passes have made him a naturally gifted driver.
