Revived in the 1990s, the Mini Cooper 1.3i arrived in 1991 with a 1.3 litre (1,271 cc) fuel injected engine, white roof, bonnet stripes, fog lamps, eight spoke wheels and a sporty interior — all the ingredients for maximum character on minimum footprint. From 2001, the Mini name entered a new era under BMW Group, carrying the original icon’s spirit forward for a new generation.
