The Nissan Leopard was released as a personal luxury car in September 1980; the 280X SF-L was its highest grade model. The pioneering and distinctive two door hardtop body featured excellent aerodynamic performance. It was powered by the inline six L28E engine capable of 145hp and had 5 speed manual and 3 speed automatic transmission options. The suspension featured an auto leveling system for the rear; the interior was also packed with luxury accessories like leather seats, an onboard drive computer with 6 functions, cruise control and automated climate control, which were standard attachments for the 280X SF-L. Fully packed with the newest technologies, this vehicle is known as a pioneer of Japanese personal luxury cars.
