During WWII, non mechanised German units such as the infantry were served their meals by a field kitchen, usually pulled by a team of between two and four horses and providing food for anywhere between 120 and 220 soldiers. They generally consisted of a front limber with space for the driver and storage for ingredients and equipment, plus a trailer with soup copper or kettle. With its wooden wheels and upright flue, it was affectionately nicknamed the "Gulaschkanone" or "goulash cannon" and around thirty are said to have been assigned to a single infantry regiment in the early days of the conflict.

This is a 1/35 scale plastic model assembly kit.

An accurate portrayal of the field kitchen with its wooden wheels and prominent flue.

The kit comes with a seated soldier figure holding the reins.

Two horses are pictured in realistic action pose.

Accessories including milk pots, food containers and a bucket.
