In November 1934, the Air Ministry evaluated various manufacturers' chassis to meet RAF requirements. Albion secured the contract with a uniquely adapted version of the mid sized 463, designated with the AM (Air Ministry) prefix. It served multiple purposes, most notably as a refuelling vehicle.

Choosing the Albion chassis marked a significant advancement in standardising RAF ground support machinery during the inter-war years. The AM463's sturdy construction and dependable performance made it ideal for the challenging conditions of military airfield operations.

During World War Two, these adaptable vehicles were a common presence on RAF airfields across the UK and abroad, playing a crucial yet often underappreciated role in maintaining the operational readiness of fighter and bomber units.

This intricately crafted 1/48 scale model of the Albion 3 Point Fueller consists of 113 components, providing an engaging building experience for modellers aged 8 and up at Skill Level 2. Made from premium plastic, this model accurately depicts the medium sized utility vehicle that served as a crucial asset for the RAF throughout World War Two.
