The SE.5a is a legend of the British air forces from 1917–1918, developed by the Royal Aircraft Factory. This aircraft played a key role on the Western Front during the First World War, used by the Royal Flying Corps and the RAF. The Wolseley Viper variant was equipped with a more powerful Wolseley Viper V8 inline engine, which significantly improved its combat characteristics in both speed and reliability.

The SE.5a was the favourite fighter of many aces, such as Albert Ball and Edward "Mick" Mannock. Featuring high manoeuverability and excellent cockpit visibility, it was used for numerous patrols, bomber escort missions, and air combats.

The kit offers excellent reproduction of fuselage, wings, and cockpit interior details, enriched with photo etched parts and colourful decal otions showing authentic markings. The included clear instructions make precise assembly possible
